In the words of Homer, "Doh!"

You may recall that in my talk on Sunday I mentioned that there were 6, not 600, copies of Homer's Oddessy and Iliad. What I meant to say (cough cough) was that there are about 650. After thinking about it, a few of us launched out on a academic fact checking adventure and were corrected by none other than the enlightening Lee Strobel in an interview with New Testament scholar Bruce Metzger. You can read an outline of the interview here.
We always want to be accurate in the things that we say from the stage, so just thought we might clear the air a bit. And if you ever think "that just ain't right" during a sermon, contact us at contact@skylineokc.com
But, with that being said, the point stands that there are WAY more manuscripts of the New Testament than any other ancient document in history.

Have a good week!
